
The all-new BMW X3 was launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and it is a ‘Made in India’ Car which is produced at the BMW’s Chennai plant. So, let’s know about this suv in details;
Coming on to the Design and Dimensions:
This SUV is the longest, widest, and tallest in its segment because, It comes with a length of 4,755 mm and a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. Apart from this, it has a large, split BMW kidney grille with optional glow contour lighting, twin headlights with adaptive LED technology, flush-fitting door handles and 19-inch M light-alloy wheels.
Slide into its interior:
X3 comes with a driver-oriented BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display which dominates the overall dashboard. It has The BMW Interaction Bar, standard head-up display, and Luxury Instrument Panel added to the ambiance.
The new M Steering Wheel, sports seats with Vaganza leather, a big panoramic sunroof and Harman Kardon surround sound systems makes its interior rich and fresh.
It’s Vroom Vroom Time:
So, the vehicle comes with both petrol and diesel powertrain options.
It has a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 187 hp at the torque of 307 nm, and a 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces 193 hp at the torque of 394 nm. Both of the variants feature a 48V semi hybrid setup to improve the car’s performance and efficiency.
This BMW X3 comes with Adaptive Suspension with electronically controlled dampers. It has the latest BMW iDrive with QuickSelect technology which is based on BMW OS 9 that offers intuitive controls and a variety of digital services. We can connect the car to BMW Digital Premium and the MyBMW app for enhanced connectivity and convenience.
What about safety?
Well, due to the new safety norms issued by the Government of India recently, It is mandatory to give minimum 6 airbags and basic safety features in all the cars as a standard feature. So, the SUV comes with approx all Safety features which includes 12 airbags, Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Plus, and more.
Price and Variants:
However, the bookings are already open for this new SUV X3 and Deliveries are scheduled to start from April 2025 announced by the company.
The car is available in two variants- the xDrive20 M Sport petrol, priced at Rs
77.28 Lakhs (ex-showroom), and the xDrive20d M Sport diesel, priced at Rs 81.02 lakhs (ex-showroom). However, Prices may vary based on different geographical locations.
It is gonna be interesting to see if people would buy it over Toyota’s Fortuner or if the Fortuner just maintains its legacy in India.
