Mahindra’s Planning To Expand Globally: Launching Soon This Pickup Truck For The Global Market!

The Mahindra Scorpio N based pickup truck was showcased as a global pick up concept in August 2023. Now, the company has started its testing and one of its test pics was recently caught on camera.
This Scorpio N pickup truck is a global product of the company that’s why Mahindra’s target markets for this are mainly South Africa and Australia. There is no official statement on its India launch.
Power and Performance:
The company has confirmed that the Scorpio N pickup truck will be powered by the Gen II all-aluminum 2.2L mHawk diesel engine (mHawk is a signature engine of Mahindra). This engine which also powers the Scorpio N, offers a maximum power of 169 bhp and torque of up to 396 nm.
Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The new Mahindra pickup comes with 4WD(Four Wheel Drive) and shift-on-the-fly functionality. This Pikup offers four drive modes which are Normal, Sand, Mud-Rut and Grass-Gravel-Snow.
Designed by Mahindra India:
The model spotted appears to be somewhere between a concept and a production model. The Mahindra Global Pick Up Concept, designed at the Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS), features a pop-out front grille, a bulky bash-plate, a differently designed front bumper, a snorkel, tow hooks on the lower front end and a roof rack with an LED light bar at the front. The production version of the pickup truck will be designed on a new gen ladder-frame chassis and its production is going to start this year.
