Vietnam’s EV manufacturer VinFast is all set to preparing for a formal entry in India. The rapid increase in demand of EVs in India attracts many overseas companies to launch their products in the country. Vietnam’s EV manufacturer VinFast is planning to enter India to give a tough competition to existing companies of the Indian EV market. According to the information, the company will start its journey in the market with VinFast VF7 India launch.
Does this car provide something different as compared to existing EVs?
Currently, the company sells VF7 in the global market only. In such a situation, the vehicle to be brought to India with some major changes.
In global variant we can see it have many features like LED DRL, LED headlights, LED tail lamp, flush door handles, 20 inch alloy wheels, 15 inch infotainment system, OTA updates, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, panoramic sunroof, black and brown dual tone interior, cruise control as well as airbags, lane centering assist, lane keep assist along with Level-2 ADAS.
What about its range and performance?
Well, The company can offer it with single and dual motors which will give it the 369 hp with 507 nm of torque. It will also have the option of front and all wheel driveline.
It has a battery of 75.3 kWh capacity, Which can be driven up to 428 km after full charge.
Design and Dimensions:
The length of VinFast VF7 will be 4545 mm, width of 1890 mm, height can be 1635.5 mm and its wheelbase will be 2840 mm.
Price and Variants:
The company has just given information about which cars it is bringing during the India launch so, The exact price will be given at the time of its launch. But it’s possible that considering the features it can be priced around Rs 50 lakhs.
To be honest this is the premium price segment which major population can’t afford to buy so, it’s highly possible that may the company’s plans is to cater only a specific group of consumers or maybe we can see some budget cars by this company In near future soon.
However, VF7 will come in two variants in the market which are Eco and Plus.
