Contaminated water-bad sewage: In the cold season, the atmosphere of the election has become hot. People are counting the flaws of each other’s paws. Some people are also heard discussing the politics of work. This is a view of the Pambri Marg located in Gujranwala Town Part-1 of the Model Town Assembly constituency.
Dirty drinking water supply is common in the camp. Also, the poor sewage system has strangled people. The Model Town Assembly constituency falls under the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, a posh constituency in North Delhi.
It is divided into three parts Model Town 1A, Model Town 2 and Model Town 3. The seat was won by BJP’s Charti Lal Goel in 1993 and Congress’ Kanwar Karan Singh from 1998 to 2008. Akhilesh’s husband Tripathi of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been an MLA from here since 2013.
Features of the area
Located in North Delhi, this assembly constituency is connected to Alipur Road. It was settled by DLF in 1950, the first area of Delhi to be settled by a private company. The modelled city is quite large. It is divided into blocks and colonies. It is also divided into three administrative blocks, which are North-Western District, Saraswati Vihar and Narela. The nearest metro stations from here are Azadpur and Model Town.

The current MLA has laid full emphasis on the development of the region. The work to be done by the municipal corporation was also done by the legislator. This is the reason why the situation in this sector has improved in the last five years.
In many places, the encroachment has spread from major roads to roads. Due to this, people are facing problems. Violaters have made permanent shelters on the road itself.
In some areas, the sewer line has not been replaced for years. This is the reason why water enters people’s shops and homes only when there is light rain here. Living with dirty water becomes hostile.
