AAP will run #AmitShahKiGundaGardi hashtag against Amit Shah, Kejriwal appeals to Delhi

Delhi politics has heated up once again. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today held a press conference and fiercely targeted Home Minister Amit Shah. He appealed to the people of Delhi to unite and raise their voice against the policies of BJP and the working style of Amit Shah. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is now going to run a special campaign on social media, in which the hashtag #AmitShahKiGundaGardi will be used.
Kejriwal’s allegations and new strategy
Arvind Kejriwal alleged in his statement that Delhi Police is working on the instructions of Amit Shah and anti-social elements associated with BJP are being protected. He said that efforts are being made to intimidate and threaten Aam Aadmi Party workers.
Earlier also, Kejriwal had written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner complaining that BJP workers were harassing his party leaders and supporters. He had also demanded action against Delhi Police officials.
Announcement of social media campaign
Kejriwal said in the press conference, “We have started the hashtag #AmitShahKiGundaGardi against this dictatorship of BJP and Amit Shah. Every citizen of Delhi should stand against this injustice. If you or anyone you know has faced any kind of trouble, then share it on social media with this hashtag.”
He appealed to the people that if they see hooliganism anywhere, then make a video of it and share it on social media, but take full care of their safety.
Case of attack on AAP MLA
Recently, a case of alleged attack on Aam Aadmi Party’s Rithala MLA Mahendra Goyal by BJP workers came to light. Goyal released a video on social media, in which bandages and plaster were seen on his hands and feet. However, Delhi Police rejected this claim and said that he had not suffered any serious injury and he is completely safe.
Aam Aadmi Party leaders have called this incident “hooliganism” by BJP and have strongly protested against it.
Increasing conflict in politics
This conflict between AAP and BJP is not new in Delhi politics, but this time the matter has become even more heated. It will be interesting to see in the coming days what effect this social media campaign of Aam Aadmi Party has and how BJP responds to it.
