Central government will give a loan of one crore on goat rearing, 50% grant also

Bakri Palan Loan Yojana: The central government’s goat rearing scheme is an important tool to increase the income of rural livestock farmers and make them self-reliant as well as create new employment opportunities. Under this scheme, farmers can get a loan of up to Rs 1 crore. This includes a 50 percent grant, allowing them to easily start a goat rearing business and become financially financially empowered.
Veterinary Assistant and Planning In-charge Dr. HC Patel said that the central government’s goat rearing scheme is being run by the National Harvester Mission. In this scheme, loans ranging from Rs 20 lakh to Rs one crore are given. In this, 50 per cent subsidy will have to be given, i.e. one crore will get a grant of 50 lakh.
8 cases approved in Khargone
Dr. HC Patel said the Rs one crore scheme includes 500 goats and 25 goats. The scheme is fully online. NML’s entrepreneurs are available on Mitra portal. Around 8 cases have been approved in the district. The important thing is that all animals are insured that the insurance company will pay in case of any loss. Training is also organised by the department.
The grant will be given in two installments
To avail the benefits of the scheme, the person interested in the form of margin money will first have to deposit 10 percent of the amount on his behalf. 90 percent of the loan is financed by the bank. The grant amount is received in two installments. The first installment will be at the centre of the scheme and the second will be at the end of the plan.
Land status for farm house
Under the goat rearing scheme, it is mandatory to have at least 1 acre of land to set up a farm house. The land must be owned or can be leased, provided that the required documents and land certificates have been submitted.

- The applicant should have experience in goat rearing or agriculture.
- The applicant should have 1 acre of land, which can be developed as a goat farm house.
