Welcome to the polling parties: The preparations for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections have been completed. After five years, once again the voters of Delhi will vote on February 5 to choose their government.
Welcoming the voting parties by applying tilak
When the polling parties reached the polling stations with all the related election materials including EVMs for voting, the different colours of the celebration of democracy were seen at many places. In some places, polling parties were welcomed by polling workers with tilak, while flowers were showered on the polling parties. Along with this, the voting teams were welcomed by playing drums.
Also, the polling stations were decorated on different themes, giving them a distinct splendour.
The Election Commission on Tuesday distributed EVMs at Atal Adarsh Vidyalaya in Gol Market. These machines were taken to various polling stations in Delhi through DTC buses along with Election Commission officials and policemen.
The role of voting parties is important
The role of voting parties is very important in making this great festival of democracy a success. The day before the polling, when the polling teams left for their destination, they were given a grand welcome at various polling stations in the capital. The school was decorated in a special way to welcome the voting party in Ramesh Nagar. Rangoli was made at the entrance and district election workers showered flowers on the polling teams.
The polling parties were warmly welcomed by drumming in Tilak Nagar. This made the election atmosphere even more vigourous. Men’s and women’s polling parties were welcomed in a traditional manner by applying tilak at Rajouri Garden.
Similarly, at other places in Delhi, Election Commission officials gave a grand welcome to the polling parties. “””This is the first time I have been part of a polling party and I am very excited about the experience,”” he said on condition of anonymity.” The way people are honouring us is amazing.”
Voting teams are also excited
The polling teams who reached a school in Karol Bagh also looked excited. The polling parties in the Civil Lines were welcomed on the red carpet and tomorrow the voters will also be taken to the polling stations through the same red carpet.
