There will be a focus on the diversity of crops, barren lands will also grow, a big announcement made in the budget

PM Krishi Yojana: In this current budget, all measures have been taken to make farmers rich. Even in those fields where not even a blade of grass grows, there is preparation for harvesting of rupees. For this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Yojana in the budget of 2025-26. Under this, 100 districts with the lowest agricultural productivity have been included.
Here, preparations have to be made to get maximum production by growing crops on barren land. This will benefit one crore 75 lakh farmers of these districts. Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Yojana, provision has been made in the budget to make barren land fertile as well as to maximise production through scientific crop cycle.
Focus on crop diversity
Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Yojana, the government’s focus is on measures to increase sustainable productivity in areas of districts with low agricultural productivity by diversifying crops. For this, an emphasis on sustainable practice has been announced. At the same time, the storage capacity will be increased at the panchayat and block level for post-harvesting storage. For this, new storage houses will be built and the capacity of old storage houses will be increased.
Inspired by the scheme of aspirational districts
In the opinion of experts, the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Yojana announced by the Government of India in the budget is driven by the success of the programme for aspirational districts. Similarly, in the Aspirational District Programme, a separate plan has been made for the development of the least developed districts of the country. Under this, priority was given to raising the living standards of the people of selected districts. Emphasis has also been placed on increasing their life expectancy.
