Airtel Updates: Bharti Airtel’s consolidated net profit increased more than fivefold to Rs 16,134.6 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 2,876.4 crore in the same quarter last year. The country’s second largest telecom company said in the stock market that the company’s operating income in the third quarter of the current financial year was Rs 45,129.3 crore, compared to Rs 37,899.5 crore in the same quarter last year.

Bharti Airtel, one of the country’s leading telecom companies, on Monday announced its results for the first quarter of the current financial year on August 5. In the first quarter ended June 30, 2024, the company has recorded a bumper profit of more than 2.5 times. Bharti Airtel’s net profit rose 158 per cent to Rs 4,160 crore in the first quarter of FY15. It was Rs 1612.5 crore in the same period a year ago.
Bharti Airtel’s total revenue (consolidated revenue from operations) rose 2.8 per cent to Rs 38,506.4 crore in the quarter from Rs 37,440 crore in the same quarter last year. Airtel’s revenue in India grew 10.1 per cent year-on-year to Rs 29,046 crore. Bharti Airtel’s average revenue per customer (ARPU), which is on a significant scale in India, increased to Rs 211 from Rs 200 in the same period last year.
The telecom operator’s 4G/5G data customer base grew by 2.97 crore year-on-year and 67 lakh quarter-on-quarter in the first quarter, accounting for 73 per cent of the total mobile subscriber base. At the same time, 8 lakh customers were connected through postpaid. Mobile data consumption has grown 26 percent year-on-year, with 23.7 GB of consumption per customer per month. The company’s EBITDA in the first quarter was Rs 19,944 crore, up 1 per cent year-on-year. The EBITDA margin was 51.8 per cent, a year-on-year decline of 90 basis points.
