Arvind Kejriwal Security Issue: The issue of Aam Aadmi Party chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s security is being discussed. Chief Minister Atishi has targeted the ruling BJP at the Centre and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He alleged that there was a conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal in collusion between the BJP and the Delhi Police.
Political uproar over Kejriwal’s security
Atishi levelled these allegations after the Punjab Police recalled its jawans deployed to protect Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi said that the BJP wants to eliminate Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi and Punjab Chief Ministers have written to Arvind Kejriwal asking the Election Commission to restore the security of Punjab Police and get their security audited.
Punjab Police personnel removed from Kejriwal’s security
Punjab police is playing an important role in saving Arvind Kejriwal, BJP has conspired to remove him. Atishi raises questions, attacks Centre and BJP
Atishi alleged that the BJP and Delhi Police were in collusion in a conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal. Whenever Arvind Kejriwal was attacked, the attackers turned out to be BJP workers. Every time during the attack, the Delhi police did not stop the attackers. The Aam Aadmi Party convener is being attacked by the BJP and the Delhi Police. Even though the Aam Aadmi Party and the Delhi Chief Minister are questioning the issue of removing Punjab police personnel from Kejriwal’s security, the question is whether the police of another state can give protection to a leader in Delhi?
What security can the police of another state provide, know the rules
According to the Delhi Police, former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been given Z+ security. When Z-plus security is provided, 55 soldiers are always deployed. These include 10 NSG commandoes. Apart from this, Delhi Police personnel have also been deployed in the security. The question now is whether police from another state can be deployed in Defence of a leader in Delhi. According to experts, there is no such rule. No leader of Delhi can take or get the security of another state.
Can maintain the security of another state only for 72 hours
The same has happened in the case of Arvind Kejriwal. According to the rules, Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Kejriwal cannot take the security of another state. They cannot be given protection even from another state. This is legally wrong. If a political giant from another state comes to another state, they can also protect themselves for 72 hours. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police should be informed about the matter. If the Delhi Police is not informed, it will not be recognised by law. Under these rules, the BJP raised questions about Kejriwal’s security from the Election Commission. After which, the Punjab Police called back the jawans deployed to protect Kejriwal.
