Arvind Kejriwal Speech : Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal is engaged in a smoking campaign. Meanwhile, on Tuesday (January 28), he reached the Karwal Nagar assembly constituency, which is considered a stronghold of the BJP. Interestingly, a few steps away from where Kejriwal’s rally was organised in Karwal Nagar, BJP candidate Kapil Mishra also held a public meeting.
Arvind Kejriwal started the public meeting and claimed that many BJP people (on the stage) were showing me black flags, my best wishes too. I want to tell them that when our government is formed in Delhi, we will arrange free electricity for them and good education for their children. They are also our brothers, but have strayed a little.

Karwal Nagar is the stronghold of BJP
Kapil Mishra has been an MLA from Karawal Nagar on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. He had resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party a few years ago and joined the BJP. The BJP has been winning the Karwal Nagar seat since 1993.
BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht was elected MLA from this seat in 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2020. He only suffered defeat in the 2015 election. After this, he lost to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kapil Mishra. This time, the BJP has fielded Kapil Mishra from this seat. Bisht has been given a ticket from Mustafabad.
