Baghpat Accident – 5 Dead, 40 Injured in Scaffolding Collapse at Religious Festival

Baghpat Tragedy: On Tuesday, a significant accident was witnessed in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, five people have died due to the collapse of the stage in the program. According to the data, more than 20 women, men and children were injured. The officials who reached the spot admitted the injured person to the hospital. At present, relief and rescue work is ongoing.
According to the information, the wooden scaffolding built in the Manastambh complex on the Nirvana Laddu festival of Lord Adinath has collapsed. Over 50 devotees are feared to be buried under it in this incident. According to the information, seven people are said to have died in the accident. The deceased include Tarshpal Jain son Hukamchand 74 years, Amit son Naresh 40, Usha wife Surendra 65, Arun Jain Master son Keshavram 48, Shilpi Jain daughter Sunil Jain 25 years, Vipin son Surendra 44, Kamlesh wife Surendra 65.
On the other hand, DM Baghpat Asmita Lal said, “There was a program of the Jain community in Baraut. A wooden structure collapsed here, due to which about 40 people are reported to be injured. Twenty people were sent home after treatment, and 20 people are still undergoing treatment. Five people have died.”
How did the accident happen?
This accident happened Tuesday morning on Gandhi Road in Baraut city’s Kotwali area. The scaffolding made of beams in the Manastambh complex suddenly collapsed, burying many people under it. There was a stampede at the scene of the accident. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started rescuing the people. About 6-7 policemen were also injured in this accident. However, the number of wounded is increasing.
