Kejriwal takes a dig at ECI: The Aam Aadmi Party has once again accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of intimidating voters. Senior AAP leaders and Chief Minister Atishi and senior AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Durgesh Pathak told a press conference that BJP people are openly threatening voters who are supporting their party.
It is alleged that BJP people violated the code of conduct in Kalkaji, Jangpura and Rajendra Nagar assemblies on Monday night. Atishi alleged that instead of taking action against BJP people who violated the code of conduct in Kalkaji, the police brutally beat up two youths who made videos of them. The police has also registered an FIR against the Delhi Chief Minister in this regard.
People close to BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri arrested
The Chief Minister said that even after the election campaign ended in his Kalkaji area yesterday, people from other areas were present and threatening the slum dwellers. When she reached there, in two places, people close to BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri were arrested by the police in different areas.
But the police let him go. On the contrary, he grabbed and beat up two of his supporters who were making a video there and kept them sitting in the police station till morning. He said no action was taken against Ramesh Bidhuri and his men, on the contrary, an FIR was registered against him.
This official stand of Delhi Police and Election Commission-Kejriwal
On the other hand, reacting strongly to these incidents, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal wrote on X that the Election Commission registered a police case against the Delhi Chief Minister for complaining against open hooliganism.
He said that the work of the Delhi Police and the Election Commission is to do hooliganism against the AAP, protect the hooliganism of the BJP, distribute liquor, money and goods.
If anyone prevents them from doing this work, they will be prosecuted for obstructing the work of the police and the Election Commission. Sisodia said that even after all the video evidence and complaints, the police and the Election Commission are not taking action against the goons.
