‘Black coats’ candidates in Delhi’s election, face-to-face competition in 3 assembly seats

Delhi’s power struggle: This time, the entry of legal legal experts into the field of politics has brought a new twist. 26 lawyers have been fielded as candidates in the assembly elections. Some of them are new faces, some are already active. The growing trend of lawyers is being seen as a sign of new strategies in politics. These candidates are trying to win the trust of voters by making claims of public interest and strengthening the justice system.
These include 12 from the BJP, eight from the Congress and six from the Aam Aadmi Party. This is the first time that such a large number of legal experts have come to the stage of politics. Face-to-face clashes in three assembly constituencies
There is a head-to-head contest between the lawyer candidates in Timarpur, Delhi Cantt and Bijwasan Assembly seats. Lokendra Kalyan Singh of Congress and Surya Prakash Khatri of BJP are contesting from Timarpur. The contest is between Virendra Singh and BJP’s Bhuvan Tanwar from Delhi Cantonment. BJP candidate Kailash Gehlot and AAP candidate Surendra Bhardwaj are in the fray from Bijwasan seat. The lawyer candidates of the Congress and AAP are trying to win on the strength of their legal understanding and political strategies. AAP has fielded its young and active lawyers, who are trying to get public support with the promises of governance and judicial reform.
Highly Educationally Educated Candidate
Many parties have fielded candidates with different levels of educational qualifications in the 70 assembly seats of Delhi. Congress candidate from Wazirpur Ragini Naik and AAP candidate from Ambedkar Nagar Ajay Dutt have obtained PhD degrees. AAP candidate Vikas from Krishna Nagar and Ashok Goel from Model Town have obtained Chartered Accountant (CA) degree.
The candidates studying in the field of journalism include Manish Sisodia of the Aam Aadmi Party from Jangpura, Rakhi Birla from Madipur and Gajendra Singh Yadav of the BJP from Mehrauli. At the same time, the parties have fielded illiterate candidates in some seats.
