Delhi Metro Timing Change: Due to the Delhi Assembly elections, metro services in the capital will start from 4 am on February 5 and 8. Delhi Metro train services will start early on all lines on February 5 (Wednesday), the day of polling for assembly elections and February 8 (Saturday), the day of counting.

DMRC’s Principal Executive Director, Corporate Communications Anuj Dayal said that in these two days, the metro will run from its terminal stations at 4 am so that employees posted for election duty can take advantage of this facility and they do not have any problem for it. The metro will run at intervals of 30 minutes on all lines till 6 am. Regular metro train services will run throughout the day after 6 am.

Metro services will continue till late night

In addition, the final metro services on all lines will also be extended at midnight on 5/6 February 2025 for the convenience of polling officers/employees returning late after election duty.

Till what time will the metro be available at night?

The red line has been extended from 11 pm to 12 pm. Metro services will be available from Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Sampur Badli from 11 pm to 11.30 pm and from Samepur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram from 11 pm to 11.45 pm. Metro services on the blue line will be extended till 11.50 pm. While on the violet line, it has been extended from 12 noon to 1 pm.

The last train from Pink Line station will be available at 11:30 pm, from Janakpuri West and Botanical Garden station on Magenta line at 12 pm, from Dhasa bus stand on grey line to Dwarka at 11:45 pm and from Dwarka to Dhasa bus stand at 1 pm. The last train from the Airport Express Line station will be available at 12:35 pm.

Arrangement of parking at these polling stations

Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic Zone 2) Dinesh Kumar Gupta said that to facilitate the voters to reach the polling stations during the elections, the Delhi Traffic Police (Zone-2) has made proper deployment on the roads including providing parking facility at the polling stations of Dwarka, Bijwasan, Vikaspuri, Uttam Nagar. There are 10 or more polling stations in Matiala, Palam, Rajouri Garden, Tilak Nagar, Janakpuri, Rajendra Nagar, Sultanpur Majra, Devli, Mehrauli, Chhatarpur, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, Jangpura, Kalka Ji, Tughlaqabad and Okhla.
