From UP-Delhi to Kashmir, the weather will change again in the next 48 hours, how cold will it be

Weather Update: The chances of rain in Delhi on Feb 8 are very low, but the effect of fog may increase. The IMD has also issued a thunderstorm warning in Delhi. On Thursday (February 6), the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 8.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.2 degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius. The air AQI remains at the level of 180, which falls in the ‘moderate’ category.

Even in the month of February, cold snaps do not subsise. The cold wave is still persisting in many parts of North India, people are not getting relief from quilts and sweaters. The effect of cold is being felt more because of the tailwind. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), rain and snowfall are likely in many parts of Ladakh and Kashmir in the next 48 hours. This can cause the temperature to drop to zero degrees Celsius.

People’s problems increased due to cold in UP and Bihar

In the last 24 hours, it has rained in many areas of UP, due to which the cold has increased once again. Strong winds and light rains are likely to occur under the influence of the western disturbance, which may benefit farmers’ rabi crop. The weather department had issued a rain warning for Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Rampur, Bareilly, Saharanpur and Moradabad, but the forecast was not entirely accurate. In Bihar, the sun is relieved during the day, but the cold is felt due to the tailwind. Dense fog is likely to continue in southern Bihar.

Cold wave continues in Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab.

Rainfall is expected in Haryana and Punjab on February 8. However, between 9 and 11 February, the rains are likely to move towards the Punjab-Haryana border. Cold winds will maintain the effect of cold. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature was recorded below 10 degrees Celsius in several districts including Jaipur, Kota and Sikar. Fatehpur recorded a minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, which has increased the cold.

Increased cold due to snowfall in Himachal and Kashmir

Snowfall continues in the highlands of Himachal Pradesh. Snowfall was recorded in Shimla, Kullu, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning in some areas. In Kashmir too, the temperature has reached zero degree Celsius due to snowfall and rain. Cold conditions persist in many areas, including Srinagar. According to meteorologists, the weather will be bad here for the next few days due to the western disturbance.

Rain, thunderstorm warning issued in northeastern states

Heavy rains and thunderstorms are likely over northeast India for the next two days due to cyclonic circulation over upper parts of Bangladesh and Assam. It can affect people’s lives. The game of sunshine and shade will continue throughout the day in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and Delhi-NCR. Light drizzle with strong winds is expected over these states due to the influence of the western disturbance by 8 February, which may bring the temperature down to 2-3 degrees Celsius.
