JSW MG Windsor EV Breaking Records: Achieves 15k+ Productions, 150+ Bookings Everyday

JSW MG Motor India has announced its new Windsor EV has surpassed the 15,000-unit production mark. The all-new MG Windsor EV rolled out in September last year and has been a runaway hit for the company. From October 2024 to January 2025, it was the country’s top-selling EV for four months running and became the company’s top-selling vehicle.

MG Windsor Price and Features:

The current ex-showroom price of MG WIndsor EV starts from Rs 13.5 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.9 lakh (including battery). The single charge range of this electric crossover is up to 328 km. Indian customers have liked the Windsor EV due to its price, features and luxury experience. Apart from this, the option of leasing the battery separately, guarantee of selling the car back after a certain period of time and the facility of lifetime warranty are being liked by the people.

MG To Ramp Up Production For New Windsor:

JSW MG Motor India reported taking around 150+ bookings a day for the new Windsor EV, indicating high demand from customers for the electric crossover. The automaker also reported that it would have reached the 15,000-unit production mark much sooner if not for the facility upgrades at its Halol manufacturing plant in Gujarat. The upgrades are being undertaken to meet the growing demand for the Windsor, but the short-term slowdown will impact MG wholesales for the month.

Commenting on the milestone, Biju Balendran, Deputy Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India said,“We are thrilled with the reception that the MG Windsor has been receiving and are thankful to our customers who have assisted us in crossing the 15.000-unit production milestone. The CUV has been accepted by car buyers across the board for its overall pricing and packaging, and for providing a luxurious business-class experience to customers. Smart Initiatives like Baas, the buyback scheme, and a lifetime warranty, have all increased consumer confidence in EVs. As we expand our portfolio, we continue to commit to bringing quality products to our customers at an accelerated pace “Accordingly, we are Expanding the Halol facility capacity to cater to the growing demand for Windsor. We are also making some facility changes to be ready for new products under MG Select which is scheduled to roll out in the first half of this year. Therefore, we expect a slowdown in production in the month of February, which could impact our wholesales temporarily during this time”, he added further.

JSW MG Motor India is further diversifying its portfolio and will soon launch a futuristic electric sports car called the MG Cyberster under the premium brand MG Select and the MG M9 Limousine in the premium MPV segment. The price of both these models will be revealed in the coming months.
