Tight Security : In view of the Delhi Assembly elections 2025, the Delhi Police has made tight security arrangements. EVM machines will start reaching all polling stations from 12 pm today i.e. Tuesday and with this, the deployment of Delhi police and paramilitary forces will also start.
Police and paramilitary forces will be deployed at all polling stations till about nine o’clock till the EVM machine is taken to a strong room tomorrow night, he said. Apart from the Delhi Police, paramilitary forces will be deployed only at sensitive booths. Only Delhi Police will be deployed at normal booths.
Also, Prajaising officers and sector officers reached the destinations this morning to bring the machines to their respective areas. He will be arrested by the Delhi Police. They will stop at all polling stations in the evening. So that there is no problem tomorrow morning.
Notification issued by Election Commission
On the other hand, the Election Commission has issued a notification banning the publication or publicity of exit polls till 6.30 pm on February 5 (Wednesday).
Police will be ready to vote
Delhi Police has completed preparations for peaceful assembly elections in Delhi. 42,151 police personnel will be deployed at polling stations in Delhi on polling day. In addition, more than 19,000 home guards and 220 companies of paramilitary forces received from the Ministry of Home Affairs will also strengthen the security arrangements in collaboration with the Delhi Police.

According to police officials, all policemen have been instructed to take immediate action if information about distribution of liquor, cash distribution from anywhere by the time the polling is received. Further, adequate arrangements are being made at all polling stations by the Delhi Police. Policemen will keep a special watch on sensitive polling stations and action will be taken against those who lure voters by giving liquor and cash and filling them in vehicles. In view of the Delhi Assembly elections, 1049 cases have been registered so far in violation of the Election Code of Conduct.
During this period, 33,434 people were arrested in breach of peace and other matters. The police claim that this is the first time that such a large number of actions have been taken in violation of the election code of conduct. Between January 7 and 30, the Delhi Police recovered 462 illegal weapons and 510 cartridges. A total of 482 people were arrested with illegal weapons.
1200 injections were also seized
At the same time, during this period, the police have also seized record liquor this time. 1353 people were arrested with illegal liquor. 1,08,258 litres of liquor was seized from their possession. In addition, 196.602 kg of various drugs worth Rs 77.9 crore have been seized. 1200 injections used for intoxication have also been seized.
177 people were arrested with drugs. Around Rs 11.24 crore was seized during the investigation in Delhi. The police have seized 850 kg of gold jewellery and 37.396 kg of silver jewellery during the investigation.
