Target for the next 5 years: In view of the sewer overflow problem amid the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal held a video press conference on Saturday and talked about the issue. Kejriwal said there were many problems in the unplanned colonies in 2015 when his government came to power. It was an order from the Supreme Court, there were some orders from the central government, due to which work could not be done in these colonies.

He said that but after his government came to power, work started in these colonies from 2015, in 1792 in such colonies where problems were coming, the biggest problem was the sewer problem. There was no sewer line. Kejriwal claimed that after his government came to power, new sewer lines have been laid in most of these colonies. In many places, work is also going on to connect it to houses, which will be completed quickly after his government comes.

The goal of next 5 years is to fix the sewer line

Similarly, Kejriwal also spoke about the problem of sewer overflow and sewer jamming, he said. He said that the areas where there is an old sewer pipeline will be replaced. A new sewer line will be laid there and the public will get relief from the problem of sewer jam and overflow. He said that in the last 10 years, we have done a lot of work to install new sewers in Delhi, some areas are left. Our goal is to fix the sewer line of all areas of Delhi in the next 5 years.
