Kia Syros Deliveries Started: Best Budget Car Under 12 Lakhs?

Korean car manufacturer Kia is seeing the compact SUV segment where it can be a bit difficult to compete with established brands like Hyundai, Tata And Mahindra. New SUV should be positioned below the cars like the Hyundai Verna, and compete with cars like the Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire.

Design and Looks: Kia designs their cars in a stylish and modern way, the Syros has a ‘tiger-nose’ front grille which is something unique in the current Indian market. 3-pod Led headlights, L-shaped taillights and flush door handles.

This car, like many small crossovers, will try to give the appearance of a wide and bulky vehicle, just like it is designed in reality.

Interior and features: In this new Kia SUV, we get a large 12.5inches touchscreen infotainment display lassed with android auto and apple carplay, wireless connectivity and a good amount of storage in its boot. Along with air conditioning, an air purifier can also be seen in it; we can also see an AC vent at the rear which is something mandatory for all the car’s in this price segment, Panoramic sunroof, and Ventilated seats only in the top model of this car.

Material quality will be important in this segment, for this the company is probably trying to strike a balance in the manufacturing cost without affecting cars’ experience.

Engine and Power: In this compact SUV from Kia, we have to see a powerful 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine which can generate 118hp of power at a torque of 170 nm and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine which is capable to generate 112hp of power at a torque of 246 nm, although diesel is not that much popular nowadays, but it cannot be completely eliminated.

For transmission, both manual and automatic gears are available in the all new Syros.

Safety Features: Safety in a car is a very important issue for consumers. Hence, The SUV comes with 6 airbags, 360° camera with ABS and level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Price and competition: Ultimately, the success of cars depends on their pricing and features. Company knows well how they have to be competitive, and considering the features, Kia aggressively sets this car’s pricing in a range of Rs 10 lakhs for its base variant to Rs 18 lakhs for its top variant.
