Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: When will the next installment of Ladki Bahin Yojana come?

Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: Various state governments are running schemes to economically empower women. The Maharashtra government also took an important step in this direction and launched the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1500 per month is given to eligible women of the state. So that they can fulfil their needs and become self-reliant.

Beneficiary women are waiting for 8th installment

Since the inception of the scheme, many women have benefitted from it. Now women are waiting for the 8th installment. According to media reports, the installment is likely to be released in the second week of February. Especially on February 15, the government can transfer money to the bank accounts of the beneficiary women. However, this money will be available only to those women who fulfil the eligibility requirements of the scheme and have Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) facility in their bank accounts.

Which woman’s money will not be credited to their accounts?

Recently, the Maharashtra government has issued new rules related to the eligibility of the scheme. Under this, some women’s names have been removed from the scheme as they are no longer fulfilling the eligibility conditions. According to the information given by the Chief Minister, there are many women who will not be able to take advantage of this scheme right now.

Which women will benefit?

If you want to take advantage of this scheme then you have to fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

  • The woman should be a resident of Maharashtra.
  • The age of the woman should be between 21 and 65 years.
  • The bank account of the beneficiary woman should be linked to Aadhaar and mobile number.
  • The annual income of the woman’s family should be within the standards laid down by the government.
  • The beneficiary woman is not benefitting from any other government financial assistance scheme.

Why is the eligibility of some women being cancelled?

Due to the change in eligibility rules, some women will no longer get the benefit of this scheme. The government has clarified that some beneficiary women were not fulfilling the conditions of the scheme, hence their names have been removed from the list. The main reasons for these changes may be:

  • The annual income of the family has exceeded the limit.
  • The woman is benefitting from any other government financial assistance scheme.
  • There is a problem in the transaction due to lack of DBT facility in the bank account.
  • Application has been made on the basis of false documents.

What should be done if the 8th installment has not been received?

If a woman does not get the 8th installment amount, she should first update her bank account information. Further, the beneficiary woman can visit the nearest CSC centre or Gram Panchayat office to enquire about the status of her application.
