If we talk about the sales in the last month i.e. January 2025, then Volkswagen Virtus and Tigun got more than 1,450+ customers. However, during this time the company’s one of the value for money SUV Tiguan was disappointing because it got only 1 customer. During this period, Tiguan sales saw a decline of 99.12 percent on an annual basis. Whereas exactly 1 year ago i.e. in January 2024, Volkswagen Tiguan got 118 customers.
It’s not like the features this car’s offers are outdated. Let me tell you that the SUV is equipped with a powerful 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine that is capable of generating a maximum power of 184 bhp and a peak torque of 320 nm. The engine of this SUV is paired with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
Now let’s hop into its interior then this SUV is not disappointing via interior either. The car is loaded with features like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports both Apple Carplay and Android auto wirelessly, digital instrument cluster, a big panoramic sunroof, climate control and 30 color ambient mood lighting.
Apart from this, safety features like 6-airbags, tire pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control are also present in the SUV which fully satisfies the Government safety norms which was passed by the Government of India recently.
In the market Tiguan competes with cars like Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and others.
The ex-showroom price of the SUV is Rs 35.21 lakhs. However, Prices may vary based on different geographical locations.
