New BMW IX Facelift Spotted While Testing: Everything You Need To Know

BMW has introduced the 2025 IX facelift electric SUV with some major changes in the global market. It is expected to be introduced in India in 2026 or most probably after its launch in the US and European markets.

However, after the launch, it will replace the current IX models which have been sold in the market since 2023.

2025 BMW iX Facelift features:

Bmw ix facelift interiors The electric SUV is available with three battery pack options which are 94.8 kWh, 106.9 kWh and 109.1 kWh. BMW says that the introduction of the new battery pack has helped the IX achieve 25% more range than before. This electric SUV is now able to run between 604 km and 698 km on a single charge. However, the xDrive50 variant of the IX that was launched in India in 2023 offers a maximum range of 628 kms.

Variants and Specs:

This facelifted ix now comes in 3 variants which are the Entry, Mid and Top-end (M70 xDrive) variant.

So, The entry-level variant of the BMW facelift will now be capable of generating 397 bhp of power at a 702 nm of peak torque.

The mid-variant can generate 536 bhp of power at a 769 Nm of torque, while the top-end M70 xDrive variant can produce 648 bhp of power at a 1.1k nm of peak torque. The top end variant also comes with a launch control feature. This variant claims to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds and offers an electronically limited top speed of up to 269 kmph.

The mid and top-end variants of the this facelift electric SUV now support fast charging capacity of up to 195 kW using DC fast chargers and the entry-level variant supports fast charging up to 175 kWh.

The price of the facelift model is yet to be revealed, but the current one is sold in India at a starting price of Rs 1.45 crores (ex-showroom). However, Prices may vary based on different geographical locations.
