Paramilitary forces have been deployed on all borders of Delhi, all borders of Delhi have been sealed

Delhi Border Sealed: All 150 borders of the national capital have been sealed in view of the Delhi Assembly elections and Republic Day. The Delhi Police has blocked 162 places on these 150 borders. In case of blockade, local police are deployed 24 hours in addition to paramilitary forces. Delhi Police says that every vehicle is being allowed to enter Delhi only after checking. Also, suspicious persons and objects are being monitored.
24 hours of change
A senior official of the Delhi Police headquarters said that 162 places are being blocked and 24-hour checks are being carried out on all the small and major borders of Delhi. Vehicles and suspicious persons are being allowed to enter Delhi only after screening. Police have deployed 175 companies of paramilitary forces for security in Delhi till Monday evening. The Home Ministry has asked for 250 companies of paramilitary forces. Investigations have been started by placing pickets at various places in Delhi to check the smuggling of cash and liquor. In addition, political parties are getting permission for public meetings and rallies etc. It is feared that criminals and miscreants from neighbouring states may come to Delhi and influence the elections. It is also feared that criminals as well as troublemakers may lure voters by using liquor etc. In such a situation, the Delhi Police has already sealed all 150 borders of Delhi.
Permission is being given on first come first served basis
According to the Delhi Police Election Cell, political parties will be allowed to hold rallies and public meetings on a first come, first served basis. According to the election cell, permission for a rally or any kind of event is required 24 hours in advance. If any political party rallies etc. without permission, legal action will be taken against it and the Election Commission will be informed.
13 ACPs deployed for permission
Election police officials said that 11 Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) level police officers of Delhi Police have been deployed in all 11 revenue districts of Delhi for rally and public meeting. Apart from this, two ACPs of traffic police have been deployed in the Election Commission. Delhi Police has released a list of all ACPs.
