Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is an initiative of the Government of India that provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers get ₹6,000 every year, which is sent directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000-₹2,000.
Waiting for the 19th installment:
Farmers are waiting for the 19th installment, which is expected to be released on 24 February 2025. However, some farmers will not be able to get this benefit due to some new rules.
New rules:
eKYC mandatory: All beneficiaries have to complete the eKYC process. This can be done online or by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
Aadhaar link: The Aadhaar card of the beneficiary must be linked to their bank account. Without Aadhaar link, payment will not be possible.
Land record update: Farmers have to keep their land records correct. Giving wrong information will lead to exclusion from the scheme.
Eligibility Criteria: This scheme is only for small and marginal farmers. Big farmers, government employees (except class IV and multi-tasking staff) and income tax payers cannot avail this scheme.
Which farmers will not get ₹2000?
Those whose monthly pension is ₹10,000 or more.
Professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers and chartered accountants.
Income tax payee farmers.
Institutional land owners (whose land is in the name of a trust or institution).
Those whose land records or other documents are incomplete or incorrect.

How to check beneficiary status?
Visit the official website.
Click on the “Farmers Corner” section.
Choose the “Beneficiary Status” option.
Enter your registration number and captcha code.
Click on “Get OTP” and enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
Your payment status will appear on the screen.
