BJP accused of misuse of government machinery : The party strongly objected to the detention of Aam Aadmi Party workers campaigning in the Delhi Assembly constituency on Saturday night by the Delhi Police under pressure from the BJP. As soon as the matter came to light, many leaders including senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sandeep Pathak and Raghav Chadha reached Parliament Street police station. AAP leaders say that when they asked the police the reason for bringing the workers to the police station, the police had no answer.
Raghav Chadha said that our workers had not violated any rules and the police had to deal strictly and release everyone. He said that the way those people are trying to misuse the government machinery. This shows that ‘AAP’ is moving ahead rapidly in the Delhi elections. Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha said that some of our workers were campaigning door to door in New Delhi Assembly.
AAP MP’s allegation on Delhi Police
During this, the policemen brought our workers to Parliament Street police station. After this, all the leaders of Aam Aadmi Party reached the spot and talked to the officials, but they did not have any specific answer as to why they had brought our worker. They tried to make the Aam Aadmi Party worker sit there.
An atmosphere of fear is being created in Delhi – Raghav Chadha
After explaining the law and provisions in many ways, the police were forced to release our workers, as they had not violated the rules in any way. Raghav Chadha said that it is very clear that an atmosphere of fear is being created and efforts are being made to demoralize the workers of Aam Aadmi Party, but we will not let this happen.
