Referring to his caste, Kejriwal said, ‘I am Baniya, I will arrange money’

Arvind Kejriwal said: With just a few days left in the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday (January 26) backed his promises, citing his caste. “He said he is a “”Baniya”” and knows how to organise funds for welfare schemes.” Kejriwal praised his party’s governance model, attacking the BJP and the Congress at public meetings held in Palam, Matiala and Bijwasan.
Kejriwal said in his statement, If people ask where the money will come from, then I want to tell that I am Baniya. I know how to manage resources and I will arrange the funds. Kejriwal also claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is the party of the poor while the BJP is the party of the rich. He also emphasised the promise of free electricity, water, education and health services in Delhi.
BJP and Congress
Kejriwal hit out at BJP and Congress candidates in Palam and said the BJP has announced that it will shut down facilities like government schools, free electricity and bus travel. “He also said, “”You have to decide that you want ‘you’ who is building the school or the BJP who wants to close them.””” Kejriwal reiterated the same point in Matiala and Bijwasan and accused the BJP of ending free bus travel and electricity for women.
