Recently, Skoda shifted the new generation Superb’s manufacturing plant to a new facility, so now they can’t do CKD in that new facility. Well, it’s quite technical, right?
It means that the car in India will be fully imported. So its duty will be more. But petrol and diesel will be launched in both cars. The people who are going to bring Octavia to India. They will have to assemble it. And the major downside is that the 2-litre petrol engine will not come in it. You will get a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which we can already see in cars like the Slavia.
This year Kushaq is going to get an upgrade in terms of safety, like it will get a level 2 ADAS with 20+ features.
Slavia is also going to get an upgrade. We can expect more features are going to come here as well from a safety point of view.
The new Kodiaq generation is also going to come in India. According to the company, this new generation compact SUV will come to India between May and July 2025. And this will come in the CKD avatar. That means this car will be assembled locally. Its price should be between 30-40 lakh rupees.
