India alliance is “Akshun” – Akhilesh Yadav
Notably, the two parties Congress and AAP, which are part of the India alliance, had contested together in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. However, the two parties are contesting the Delhi Assembly elections separately, due to which the support has been split within the alliance, as the main ally of the India bloc is supporting the AAP.
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the India alliance is intact. On January 15, he said, “The India alliance remains intact. I remember when the India alliance was formed, it was decided that wherever the regional party was strong, the alliance would support them.
5 Voting on February, results on 8th
The Delhi Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8. The Congress, which has been in power in Delhi for 15 consecutive years, has suffered a setback in the last two assembly elections and has failed to win a single seat.
In contrast, the Aam Aadmi Party won 62 out of 70 seats in the 2020 assembly elections, while the BJP got only eight seats.
