Tata Discontinued Its Most Popular EV SUV: Production Stopped Completely

Tata Motors has discontinued the best variant of its popular SUV Nexon EV. The company will no longer sell the 40.5 kWh battery pack variant of the Tata Nexon EV. However, Tata motors has not given any reason behind this decision or not yet said whether this discontinuation is permanent or temporary.
Tata’s official website has removed the Nexon EV Long Range variant. Hence, The SUV is available for sale in only two battery packs, which are 30 kWh and 45 kWh options.
It can give a range of 269 km on a single charge. Its electric motor generates a maximum power of 128 bhp at a peak torque of 218 Nm. The battery can be charged up to 0-80 percent in 1 hr, It is capable of reaching a speed of 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds.
Tata claims that it gives a range of 465 km on a single charge. The company says that the Nexon EV 45 kWh can be charged up to 80 percent in about 35 minutes when using a 60 kW fast charger.
Features and Safety:
It has features like a big panoramic sunroof, 12.5-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.20-inch digital driver display, 9-speaker JBL surround sound systems, 360 degree camera and 6 airbags.
Nexon EV Price (30kWh/45kWh):
The company has not made any other changes in the rest of the Nexon electric SUVs. The ex-showroomprice of the 30 kWh battery pack variant starts from Rs 12.51 lakhs for its base and goes up to Rs 14.85 lakhs for its top variant. Similarly, the ex-showroom price of the 45 kWh variant starts from Rs 14.03 lakhs for its base and goes up to Rs 17.02 lakhs for its top end variant. However, Prices may vary based on different geographical locations.
