In 2015, the voter turnout was 67.47 percent
The highest voter turnout was 67.47 per cent in the Delhi Assembly elections in 2025. In comparison, the vote percentage in the 2020 assembly elections has decreased by 4.87 percent. Due to this, the voter turnout in the 2020 assembly elections was 62.60 per cent. Therefore, the Election Commission has the challenge of increasing the vote percentage in the assembly elections this time.
In view of this, many big events were organised by the Election Commission to make voters aware after the announcement of the Delhi Assembly elections. Today, even after the voting process has started on Wednesday, the Election Commission is encouraging voters to vote by calling that IVR on their phones.
At the same time, the Election Commission is constantly appealing to people through social media to reach the polling station with maximum number and voting. He will vote from the heart by posting in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.
8.10 per cent voter turnout in first two hours
In the first 2 hours, 10.70% voter turnout was recorded in the Delhi Assembly elections. While there is enthusiasm among voters across Delhi, the Muslim atmosphere in the Northeast district recorded the highest voter turnout of 10.70 per cent in the first 2 hours. The lowest voter turnout in New Delhi district was 6.51 per cent.
As the day progresses, voting is expected to increase rapidly. According to the Election Commission, till 9 am, Central Delhi had voted 6.67 per cent, East Delhi 8.21 per cent, North District 7.12 per cent, North-West 7.66 per cent, Shahdara 8.92 per cent, South 8.43 per cent, South 8.36 per cent, South 9.34 per cent and West 6.76 per cent.
