Eight MLAs join BJP: Eight AAP MLAs who resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today. The leaders who joined the BJP include Bhavna Gaur, Madan Lal, Girish Soni, Rajesh Rishi, BS June, Pawan Sharma, Rohit Mehroliya and Naresh Yadav. Along with this, former MLA Vijender Garg, municipal councillor Ajay Rai and Sunil Chadha also joined the BJP.
Those who joined the BJP include Rajesh Rishi from Janakpuri, Bhavna Gaur from Palam, BS June from Bijwasan, Pawan Sharma from Adarsh Nagar, Madanlal from Kasturba Nagar, Rohit Mehraulia from Trilokpuri. All the MLAs were angry with the cancellation of tickets in this election. All these leaders wrote a letter to Kejriwal accusing him of corruption.
Leaders got rid of the disaster: Vajayant Panda
Former AAP MLA Vijender Garg and several other leaders also joined the BJP in the presence of Delhi BJP in-charge Baijayant Panda and state president Virendra Sachdeva. Welcoming the legislators and leaders in the BJP, Panda said it was a historic day as they had recovered from the disaster and expressed hope that Delhi would also be free from it after the February 5 elections.

Regarding the resignation of eight MLAs, the AAP had said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a widely preferred party, with many qualified and well-educated candidates hoping for tickets. The AAP said that some MLAs were not given tickets this time, which created discontent among them and they decided to leave the party. The AAP has said that Kejriwal’s true soldiers will stand with him till his last breath, as he has not come into politics for posts like MLA, councillor or minister.
Aam Aadmi Party is losing elections: Congress
Delhi Congress president Devendra Yadav said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs have opened a front against Arvind Kejriwal by resigning. He has accused the Aam Aadmi Party of being steeped in the worst corruption and directly blamed Arvind Kejriwal for it. Yadav said that even before the elections, AAP is looking completely scattered. Their leaders and workers have already realised that on February 5, all the big leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Atishi are losing the elections.
