The people of Alipur village said that not a single road was built, the announcements were big

Delhi Election 2025 : At 3 pm, in a meeting organised in the big Shiv Mandir park of Alipur village, about 10-15 people were sitting in a group. When I went closer, I saw that four of them were playing cards and the rest were there to watch them. One of those four people placed some cards in front of everyone one by one. As soon as he picked up the cards, one person said, “Here is the ace, let’s see who will win this time.” Hearing this, I introduced myself and asked, “Who is going to win the election?” Laughing, that person told that here we are talking about the win or loss of cards, a political meeting is going to be held at some distance. After that we will have fun there. I asked how is the atmosphere then?
The person said, “Change is necessary.” On asking the name, the person sitting next to him said, “Sanjay Kumar” and said that there are many roads to go to the village, but it is difficult to walk on them. Not a single road has been built here in the last 10 years. Mud and swamp are the identity of the roads, at some places people become victims of accidents due to potholes and rough roads. When people go to complain, the leaders do not listen. At the same time, another person sitting nearby said that the work that was done during the time of Congress has not been done till now.
72-year-old Chainsukh said that nothing has been done for the elderly. Whoever wins, he himself becomes a dictator. It has been 10 years, no one has taken care of the village. When I talked about financial help to the elderly and assistance given by other parties including Rs 2100 to women, an elderly said that the youth do not have employment, children are not getting jobs. The elderly are not getting pension, but the leaders talk about distributing Rs 2100 and Rs 2500. We do not want such free money. We want employment.
Now it becomes a drug addicts
Ramesh Maan, sitting nearby, said that earlier the population of the village was limited. Now the population is increasing continuously, but development work has not been done. This is a pond, where people come to visit in the morning and evening. The elderly sit here and discuss, but due to the poor condition, it has now become a den of drug addicts. We leave as soon as evening falls. Another person sitting nearby, Jile Singh, said that Kejriwal’s announcements seem to be coming true. He will give Rs 2100 to women.
Then the situation will become like Sri Lanka’
Hearing this, the attention of other elders turned towards him and said, the elderly have not even received pension. What will they get now? One person said that this is not an election, people’s votes are being bought. By luring them with money. The situation that happened in Sri Lanka will happen in Delhi. Other people present there also started giving their opinion and the atmosphere became heated for a few moments. Some praised the current government, while some discussed the agricultural benefits and insurance of the elderly being given by the Modi government.
Srinivas, Vijendra and other elders said that this government had also organized pilgrimages for the elderly. In response to that, one said, all this is fake. I did not go. I also filled the form three times. My turn did not come. There are some people in the village who have done pilgrimage four to five times by flattery. Slowly this debate reached from the elders to the Pandit, Pujari, Granthi of the Gurudwara and Maulvi of the mosque. When it came to giving them salary. However, in the meantime I asked that a woman candidate is contesting elections from your village, is the village supporting her. Everyone became silent for a few moments. One person raised his hand and said, brother.. she is the daughter of the village. We will support her, whether Congress has a support base or not, the village is with her. But everyone did not agree to this and the discussion of this election meeting had to be ended here.
