The polling party with EVM and VVPAT will have to reach the booth by this evening

EVM and VVPAT: After the campaigning in the Delhi Assembly elections is over, the polling team employees will reach the polling stations with EVMs by Tuesday evening. The employees will stay at the polling station for the night. Adequate arrangements have been made for the accommodation of employees at the polling stations.

Female employees participating in the polling party can choose whether to stay at the polling station for the night. In case of not staying at the polling station at night, women employees can reach the polling station at 4 am on February 5 and start voting on time.

Voting will be held till six o’clock in the evening

Voting will be held on February 5 from 7 am to 6 pm. According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi, 13,766 polling stations have been set up at 2696 polling stations in the assembly elections this time. This includes 13,033 permanent and 733 additional polling stations. One EVM will be used at each polling station for voting. Therefore, 13,766 will be used for voting in 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi.

It is necessary for women employees to reach the polling station

Two ballot units will be used in EVMs at polling stations in Janakpuri and New Delhi. A ballot unit will be used in EVMs at the remaining 68 polling stations. EVMs and VVPAT machines will be provided to the employees participating in the polling team on Tuesday.

All employees participating in the polling party will go to the polling stations with EVMs and VVPATs. It is also mandatory for women employees to reach the polling station. After installing EVMs, women employees can return to their homes at night.
