BYD, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer has introduced the Sealion 7 electric SUV in the Indian market. The car was introduced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
BYD Sealion 7 Range, Powertrain:
The Sealion 7 has an 82.56 kWh battery pack. The company is offering two variants in the Indian market Rear-Wheels-Drive(RWD) and All-Wheels-Drive(AWD). The RWD model is powered by a single electric motor that produces 308 hp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The AWD version of the electric SUV, on the other hand, produces 523 hp of power and 690 Nm of torque. The RWD model has a range of 567 km on full charge, while the AWD model provides a slightly lower range of 542 km.
BYD Sealion 7 Design and Dimensions:
The BYD Sealion 7’s front resembles that of the Seal sedan one can find in the market. This is attributed to both vehicles sharing the same Ocean series design language of the brand. This can be seen from the sloping headlamp design and uniquely aerodynamic front bumper. Apart from that, the SUV contains multiple contours along the bonnet. All of this is complemented by specially crafted alloy wheels placed in flared wheel arches. On the measurement scale, it measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height. The boot space is cramped at 500 litres with a 48 litre front.

The BYD Sealion 7 is loaded with features like, it includes a 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, a list of ADAS features, a 12-speaker sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.

Well, the car has been introduced at a beginning price of Rs 47.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
