A senior official in the office of Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said polling was going on at around two polling stations after 6 pm. These voters had reached the polling station before 6 pm and stood in queues. Because of this, it took time for the actual final figure of the voting percentage to come out.

62.60 per cent voter turnout in 2020 assembly elections

It is noteworthy that in the last assembly elections of 2020, 62.60 per cent voter turnout was recorded. Compared to this, there was 2.15 per cent less voter turnout in this election.

The highest voter turnout was 67.47 per cent in the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections. In 2013, the voter turnout was 66.02 per cent. After this, the wave of AAP came in the last three elections. Because of this, people voted in large numbers. You have benefitted from it.
