Ur Rahman was arrested in Delhi riots case, now got custody parole

Ur Rahman Got Custody Parole : The Karkardooma court has granted custody parole to AIMIM candidate Shifa ur Rahman from Okhla for campaigning. The court granted custody parole till February 3 to Shifa ur Rahman for campaigning. The court said that Shifa ur Rahman can stay at his home during the parole.
Shifa ur Rahman had sought custody parole citing Tahir Hussain’s detention parole order. Shifa ur Rahman was arrested in the conspiracy case of the 2020 Delhi riots. The Supreme Court also granted detention parole to Tahir Hussain for six days. He can get out of jail for up to six hours every day. Both were granted custody parole with the conditions of filing nominations earlier.
A case has been registered under UAPA on Shifa
Shifa ur Rahman was arrested on 26 April 2020 on charges of inciting communal violence during the Dingi riots, he has been the president of Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association. A case has been registered against him under various sections of the IPC as well as the UAPA.
Candidates are against Amanatullah Khan
In Shifa ur Rahman Okhla, AAP is contesting against MLA Amanatullah Khan. Amanatullah Khan had also raised questions about his candidacy. In a public meeting, he had targeted AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and alleged that he wanted to give this seat to the BJP, so he had fielded a candidate.
Amanatullah had said during the election campaign that what is Asaduddin Owaisi’s sacrifice. Where was he during the Delhi riots? This person is not going to sympathise with you, but wants to divide your vote with emotion. The BJP has fielded Manish Chaudhary and the Congress Aarib Khan from this seat. Amanatullah Khan has been a two-time MLA here.
