What are the main issues this time? will turn the game around in a stroke?

Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 : Amid bitter winter, whether people are lighting fires near bonfires burning on the streets or politicians drinking tea at a shop, everyone is talking about the Mahasamar going on in Delhi.

The same question is also in front of voters who have been voting in the capital since the last several elections as to which political party or candidate they should trust, who will capitalise on their basic needs as well as on the path of development.

A large section of voters of Purvanchal

There is a large section of voters from Purvanchal in Delhi, they have a large share in every seat, but there are 16 assembly constituencies where voters from Purvanchal are being considered decisive due to having more than 20 percent share. Seeing this, senior correspondent Muhammad Rais spoke to the voters of Purvanchal and talked about their problems and issues and tried to grope their minds.

The name of Prayagraj is on everyone’s lips these days regarding the organisation of Maha Kumbh. Gopal Mishra, a resident of Fatehpur Gangaghat, came to Delhi about three decades ago in search of employment. If I got a private job, I chose Sarita Vihar to stay and settled here.

They say that there is no pure water for drinking here like in the village. Garbage does not pick up for many days. There are piles of garbage on the roads. The sewer is not clean. If the broom is sometimes, it’s a matter of luck.

At the same time, Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Kanpur, who was found at the tea shop, said that wherever people from Purvanchal meet in Delhi, the problems they face are more or less the same. Problems like employment, children’s education and the struggle for clean water are facing the face of those who have come to work hard and earn wages.

When elections come, some hope is born, there are promises. The people of Purvanchal also vote together. It has become their destiny to cheat every time. Now the election is ahead again. People are the same and so are their problems.

No promise, this time will assess the intention

Voters in Purvanchal say they will vote after assessing the intentions of the political parties and not the promises of the political parties. The entire biodata of the party or candidate will be checked on social media. Then we will choose the person who actually has the ability to raise issues. The objective is only one, from the street to the sewer, from the drain to the neighbourhood, to get the children a good school for study.

They get employment opportunities, clean water for the family to drink and treatment if someone gets sick. If employment is secure and free from the stress of education and treatment, perhaps they can live in the open. The voters of Purvanchal are united on their issues.

Purvanchali reached the corridor of power

In 1998, the Congress had put forward Sheila Dikshit to win the Purvanchali voters. This benefitted the Congress and was in power in Delhi for 15 years. In 2013, when Purvanchali voters joined the AAP on these issues, veteran Congress candidates also lost in these seats. In such a situation, the strategists of the three parties are committed to bringing the voters of Purvanchal together this time. Now the election results will tell who Purvanchal is with this time.

  • He has good political influence in 29 seats.
  • There are 16 seats on which they will play a decisive role in winning and losing
  • Up to 30 percent of the number of voters of Purvanchal in these assembly constituencies
