Honor Magic V5 Expected to Launch by End of June

Honor Magic V5: Honor is set to introduce yet another foldable phone to its roster with the reportedly coming Honor Magic V5. Alongside the Magic V2 Flip, which was initially scheduled for release in June, the Magic V5 now appears to be the star of Honor’s upcoming event. According to a fresh leak by Chinese tech blogger Guan, the Magic V5 is scheduled to launch later this month in China.

Honor Watch 5 Ultra May Launch With Magic V5

The leak also suggests that Honor will launch its flagship smartwatch, the Watch 5 Ultra, during the same time frame. Even though the Watch 5 Ultra was launched globally in March, it is set to launch in China now. Surprisingly enough, this premium smartwatch comes with a titanium casing and ECG support. New earbuds, tablets, and PCs are also expected to be unveiled through the same event.

Honor Magic V5 Seeks to Be Thin and Powerful

Honor’s top mobile business Product Manager Li Kun just hinted on Weibo that the Magic V5 would focus on delivering a thin and light device. This is consistent with Honor’s recent attempts to knock competition out of the foldable smartphone niche. He also reassured that the phone would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, bringing flagship efficiency and performance.

Magic V5 Authorized with 6,000mAh+ Battery and 66W Charging

Honor Magic V5, reportedly carrying the model number MHB-AN10, has already been published on China’s MIIT and 3C certification websites. The listings confirm that the phone will carry a battery capacity of more than 6,000mAh and 66W wired fast charging. This is part of a package that proposes a phone that can handle all-day use without compromising on quick top-ups.

Expected Display and Design Upgrades

According to early rumors, Magic V5 could feature a 6.45-inch LTPO OLED external display with a 120Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, consumers will be treated to an 8-inch 2K OLED internal screen that also has a 120Hz refresh rate. The dual-screen setup should offer a smooth and immersive visual experience regardless of the phone being in its folded or unfolded form.

Camera and Other Features in the Works

In the rear, the Magic V5 also reportedly has a 50MP primary lens accompanied by OIS, an ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a high-res 200MP periscope telephoto sensor. Other features reportedly include wireless charging, satellite messaging, IPX8-rated water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, firming up its badge as a flagship foldable.

Conclusion: A Solid Contender in Foldables

If the leaks are to be believed, the Honor Magic V5 can turn out to be one of the most futuristic 2025 foldable phones. With a powerful chipset, large battery, top-shelf camera setup, and revolutionary design, Honor seems to be ready to launch a device that outperforms the competition.
