iPhone 17 model may include a bigger screen and a 120Hz display, as per to a leak
As per to a recent leak, the standard model of the iPhone 17 might have a 120Hz display this time. Also, the screen size is probably going to be bigger this time

iPhone 17: As per recent leaks, Apple’s next iPhone 17 series will include an important upgrade in display technology for the base model. The next generation of Apple devices has not yet been formally unveiled, but industry insiders are constantly leaking information about potential features.
Noted display industry analyst Ross Young, who provided information on X, speculated that the normal iPhone 17 would feature a larger 6.3-inch screen—that is, 6.27 inches, to be precise. But the iPhone 16 from the previous year featured a 6.1-inch screen. The most noteworthy difference for Apple’s entry-level flagship is that the base model might also support a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Better than older
Up until now, only Apple’s Pro range of iPhones had ProMotion displays with fast refresh rates. These panels dynamically change the refresh rate to provide more responsive scrolling and smoother images. Apple seems to be closing the gap between its ordinary and Pro models by putting this capability into the normal iPhone 17. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models featured 120Hz screens, but the 16 and 16 Plus variants had a regular refresh rate of 60Hz. Smooth display technology, which can enhance the user experience without requiring Apple upgrade to a premium model, will be included in the iPhone 17 for the first time if this leak out to be true.
According to early specifications and design leaks, there will be four models available this year: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. While the Pro model is anticipated to have a 6.3-inch display, similar to the standard model, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to have a larger 6.5-inch screen. Increases in performance are also expected. It is expected that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air would use an A18 or A19 CPU with 8GB of RAM. In the meantime, the new A19 Pro chipset and 12GB of RAM may be included in the Pro and Pro Max variants, per recent leaks.
