MG has unveiled the new MG 4 EV for the global market. It is an electric hatchback car which comes with many features. So, let’s know about this new EV in detail;
According to the information, MG 4 EV will be offered with a single-motor, rear-wheel drive layout. It can have a 51kWh or 64kWh battery. The 51 kWh can give a range of 369 km, while the 64 kWh can give a range of 452 km on a single charge.
Talking about the interior of the car, to be very honest it looks more modern than the rest of MG’s models. It comes with a large central infotainment screen above its floating center console, and a digital driver display that has been provided in place of the conventional analog dial.
Now Let’s talk about the design of this electric vehicle, here Its front end has an aggressive bumper design with pointed headlamps. The side profile of the car also looks equally good and the lower part of the doors has chunky plastic cladding. The headlights get LED projectors and LED 6-trim pattern DRLs. The lower part of the bumper is inspired by the MG5, with sharp cuts and keys which really stands out in this vehicle.
So, What’s the expected price of the car?
However, MG India has not revealed anything regarding this EV yet, but talking about the price considering its features then it will cost around Rs 30 lakhs for the 51 kWh and for 64 kWh is Rs 35 lakhs, Ironically it is being said that the car is a rebranded version of MG 5 which was made by the Chinese company SAIC Motors, well I don’t think so it’s a rebranded version but who knows!
Anyways, If this car comes in this price segment in India then we can see it competing against the cars like Maruti’s upcoming EV eVitara and others which will be interesting to see to be honest.
