He further said that in 2019, the BJP had adopted a similar approach. A few days before the general election, the film based on Modi’s biography was being released. At that time he also went to the Election Commission and then to the Supreme Court. After which, the Election Commission had issued instructions to postpone the release of Modi’s biopic till the end of the 2019 general elections. Dr. Singhvi said that the Congress party hopes and believes that this time too the Election Commission will work in a similar manner and follow the rules made by itself.

Allegations of putting insulting posts on AAP

The Congress has also taken the Aam Aadmi Party along with the BJP. The Congress has alleged that AAP is posting derogatory posts on social media against its political opponents. Dr. Singhvi said the Congress party has demanded the Election Commission to issue guidelines to prevent misuse of social media platforms.

Dr. Singhvi said the Supreme Court has issued a show-cause notice to the Centre and the Election Commission. He hopes that the rights of the public will be protected by the court in the near future.
